  • Key identification features : A large, stout, hairy herb upto 1 m tall. Leaves are membranous, oblong, blade serrate. Verticils are about 2.5 cm across, axillary and globose. Flowers are sessile, numerous, floral leaves decreasing upwards. Bracts are narrowly, linear-lanceolate or subulate. Calyx tubular and sigmoidly curved. Corolla small, white, with both lips equal. Fruit is a nutlet, ovoid, dark brown and shining.
