- Key identification features : An erect annual slender herb upto 70 cm tall. Branches are conspicuously 4-angled and puberulous. Leaves are linear-lanceolate, pale and finely or minutely puberulous, more or less dense beneath. Verticils 2-3, superimposed, and terminal, many-flowered. Bracts about 8 mm long, narrowly linear. Calyx is oblique, with minute spinescent tooth. Corolla white, wooly. Nutlets 2.5 mm long, pale brown, puberulous.
